In simple terms the phrase Web 2.0 is used to refer to the perceived second generation of the web — such as blogs, wikis, podcasting, social-networking sites (e.g. twitter, facebook, Flickr, deli.cio.us) — which aim to facilitate collaboration and sharing between users.
